A Successful Rent Review for Handelsbanken

Appointed to act for the Swedish bank, Handlesbanken, which has a UK national network of over 200 branches, Ashwell Rogers has successfully settled the October 2018 rent review on their Marylebone branch at 5 Welbeck Street.

This building occupies a prominent corner site at the junction of Welbeck Street and Wigmore Street and provides approximately 27,000 sq ft of grade A offices, having been extensively refurbished in 2012/13 by landlord, Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Ashwell Rogers not only achieved a 25% saving in the level of the rent proposed by the landlord on the rent review, but also negotiated and agreed terms for a 5 year lease extension for their client, together with a significant rent free period.
